Mitchell Found Walking Alongside Road

Police found a man they had been searching for over two weeks for walking down Timberlake Road. Some folks in the Timberlake Road area heard a helicopter over their homes early Thursday morning. At around 2:00 a.m., an officer spotted Mathew Jerod Mitchell walking down the road.
Police say when Mathew Mitchell realized he'd been spotted, he ran off. After a search that involved a chopper and several officers, they found Mitchell hiding behind the Diuguid Funeral home on Timberlake Road.
You may remember two weeks ago police tried to stop Mitchell on charges of hit and run and throwing objects at moving vehicles. He led police on a chase then, got out of his car and ran off. Now they have added a felony charge of eluding police.
Mitchell is being held at the Blue Ridge Regional Jail.

This guy actually taunted a state trooper in order to be chased! He endangered everyone on the road and wasted God knows how much in tax dollars. I hope Bubba has fun with him in jail.
