With the kids heading back to school, it's never too early to start thinking about the flu. One local doctor says your children should get vaccinated before school starts. The best part, you don't have to get it in the shot form.
There's a nasal spray called Flumist. This type of vaccine might make you feel some flu-like symptoms, but doctors say it protects you from the flu for a whole year.
Thomas Epps M.D., Forest Family Physicians - "We can actually give it at this time of year when kids are coming in for other things and the goal is to get as many people immunized as you can to prevent the spread of the virus."
Doctors say the nasal spray can actually prevent multiple strands of the flu.
