Campbell Co., VA - Police are searching for suspects after a home invasion of an elderly couple in Gladys Tuesday.
Police say three suspects went to the home on Marshall Mill Road a little after 5:00 p.m., pretending to be taking some sort of survey.
One distracted the man outside while the others went in, assaulted and gagged the woman, and locked her in a room while they ransacked the house.
About 45 minutes later, Appomattox County deputies spotted the getaway vehicle, a white Chevy pickup, as it pulled into a driveway. The suspects left the engine running and ran off.
Deputies searched but couldn't catch them. They do believe they know who the suspects are. They are in the process of getting warrants for their arrest.
