Another fire in our area is being called arson.
Amherst County deputies say a partially built home on Safeway Drive in Madison Heights went up in flames early Saturday morning. The house burned to the ground.
This isn't the first time this home has been hit by a suspicious fire. It also happened in February.
If you saw anyone near Safeway Drive around the time of the fire, or have anything about it, investigators want to hear from you.
Also, Lynchburg Library officials say burglars broke out a thousand dollar window just to steal a few dollars in change. It happened over the weekend on the side of the Library near the city bus stop.
They threw a rock through the window. Someone then went inside and broke into a vending machine stealing a handful of change.
Lynn Dodge, Library Director - "We're thankful that they did not do any damage. They could have destroyed things so easily, we've got computers and what have you and they didn't touch anything, just obviously looking for money, that's what it was all about."
If you know anything about either crime, call Crime Stoppers (web) at 888-798-5900.
