Danville, VA - A Danville plant says one of its employees is doing better, after he lost his arm while working.

Intertape Polymer Group's spokesperson says Barry Bartley of Providence North Carolina was working on a machine a couple weeks ago when something got stuck inside.

He tried to dislodge the unit, but in the process officials say it ripped off his arm. We're told he had to have his arm amputated, and he also broke his collar bone and a few ribs.

Company officials say this is the first serious injury in more than four years. They're investigating the incident.

Is this the only way the media can make money? First of all you need to get your story straight. This is not how it happened. I am very close to the family & I feel you need to respect their privacy. I know for a fact if Barry would of wanted the whole town to know his business he would of excepted your interview.Instead he denied it.Doesn't that tell you something?
