Lynchburg, VA -
After an upset loss Saturday at Presbyterian, 7-and-2 Liberty tries to bounce back this week at 3-and-5 VMI. The last time these two met last November in Lynchburg, LU's offense and special teams went crazy, busting' loose for 73 points in a romp over the Keydets.
Liberty coach Danny Rocco admits everything went the Flames' way that day. This is a better VMI team, explosive on offense and Rocco says sounder on defense.
Danny Rocco, Liberty Flames (web) Head Coach - "We probably got VMI's worst shot last year as it turned out and they probably took our best shot last year. So it certainly won't play out that way, it never does, especially when you flip the home-and-home. So going up there on the road, playing up at VMI, will change that atmosphere a little bit."
Nick Hursky, Flames Senior Linebacker - "Their offense, they run really a unique offense to run. So you can't really be thinking about, you know, if I did something wrong last week. You know, what am I going to do, we run a totally different defense at them."
