Across the ABC 13 Viewing Area -
"Football Friday" is almost here and it’s playoff time, full scale! The unbeaten, 10-and-0 Brookville Bees, with last week's first-round bye as the top seed, haven't played in three weeks. They shake off the rust and battle the 6-and-5 Northside Vikings.
Jeff Woody, Brookville Bees Head Coach - "They're on a two-game win streak, they just beat Lord Botetourt and Stuarts Draft in their past two ballgames and they've looked good in those two games. You know it's a team that if we don't come ready to go, they're definitely capable. They've got speed, they've got size."
Devin Bolling, Brookville Senior Off. Lineman - "Everybody wants to beat Brookville, we're number one in the state, we're 10-and-0. Everybody just wants to beat us, so we come in with our head right and ready to play, ain't an upset at the end of the game."
The G.W. Eagles had to win their last three games and get plenty of help just to make the playoffs. They're in and make the trip to Stafford to battle Brook Point. It's a long ways from home, but G.W. hasn't lost on the road this season, a perfect 5-and-0.
Dan Newell, G.W. Eagles Head Coach - "I do feel like that there's gonna be points scored on both sides of the ball and it could be a shootout in the end. Whoever's got the ball last may win the ballgame."
