Hokies Lose Again

Puerto Rico - This was not the way Virginia's Tech A.D. Vassallo wanted his homecoming to be. They lost a buzzer beater to Xavier on Friday and Sunday the Hokies dropped another close game to Seton Hall.
Tech led by six at the half but the Pirates quickly erased that. That Vassallo three gets Tech within four. Vassallo had 22. With four minutes to go, down six, Jeff Allen dunks down the loose ball. He had a double-double, 17 points, 17 boards BUT he was just 5-of-15 from the line.
Under a minute to go, Malcolm Delaney had a career-high 25 points. This three made it 74-71. Ten seconds to go, down five, Jeff Allen gets another loose ball to drop but that was the last time Tech scored. The comeback falls short. Tech drops to 3-and-2 with the 77-73 loss.
