Police Investigate Separate Robberies

Blacksburg, VA - Blacksburg police are investigating an armed robbery and a mugging from Saturday night. Police say the first incident happened on Snyder Lane. The victim says he was going into his apartment when he was grabbed from behind and an object--which he thinks was a gun was put to his head. Police say the robber took the victims' wallet and cell phone.
An hour later a woman says she was walking on Owens Avenue when a man hit her in her face and took her purse. If you know anything about these incidents, Blacksburg Police want you to call the tip line at 540-961-1819.
