Blacksburg, VA - For the second week in a row, the Hokies play on Thursday night, this week at East Carolina. The Hokies, once the Kings of Thursday night, have now actually lost four of their last seven on Thursday.
East Carolina beat Tech the last time they played, rallying from behind in last year's season opener to win 27-22 in Charlotte.
Both teams are 5-and-3 this season. The Hokies trying to avoid their first three-game losing skid since the end of the 2003 season.
Frank Beamer, 8-6 Career Record vs. ECU (8-5 at VT) said, "We've got a major task at hand. You're going into a situation that they're gonna be fired up and you know you know that. You know what you're getting into. But I also think we're a good football team."
Rashad Carmichael, Hokies R-Junior Cornerback said, "The kind of mentality that I play with, you know I love to go into their stadium and you know see them all their colors. And then after it's over, you know, we're the big Hokies, you know, the big bad Hokies leaving."
