Buena Vista, VA - Police say a 15-year-old Buena Vista boy was shot in an apparent hunting accident Saturday. Police Chief A.J. Panebianco says the incident occurred off Route 501 just inside the Buena Vista City limits. The teen was taken to Carilion (web) Stonewall Jackson Hospital for his injuries. No word yet on his condition. The victim’s name isn’t being released until family is notified. The Department of Game and Inland Fisheries will be assisting with the investigation. No word yet on how the shooting happened.
