Lynchburg, VA -
Police say a man was air lifted to Roanoke Memorial Hospital with life threatening injuries after a car accident on the Lynchburg Express Sunday. The car involved was a 2006 Chevrolet Malibu.

(web) say the driver, Paul Richard Matthews of Rustburg was traveling North on the Lynchburg Expressway when he lost control of his vehicle and struck several guard rails before being ejected from the vehicle. Police are also reporting that speed and alcohol were contributing factors in the crash.
