Roanoke, VA - More than 1,000 people are expected to swarm Valley View Mall this weekend for a chance to meet former vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin.
Palin will be at the Barnes and Noble Book Store to sign copies of her book, "Going Rogue."
It'll be the seventh stop on her tour.
Deanna Lumburg with Barnes & Noble said, "They're off the map... everybody's excited. Customers are calling..."
Lumberg has been working with the Palin camp to get everything in order and with hundreds expected and that order is a tall one.
"This being a regional mall, we've got people coming from two-and-a-half hours away... they're really thrilled," Lumberg said.
And so is Valley View Mall itself.
Management here plans on taking advantage of the Palin appearance by giving tennents the opportunity open their doors two hours early.
The idea is to get those coming to see Sarah Palin to do a little shopping or eating, when they're done. But it's inside the bookstore where the real planning is underway
"Very carefully. We have a plan in place. We've got security. Our goal is to get as many people through the line as happy and safely as possible. 'With no guarantees?' No guarantees."
The plan is simple.
"Basically we'll be draping this area, so this area will be all Governor Palin. The line will snake through here and kind of go through the table and then out so then we can get more people through."
Which is the goal- meeting as many people as possible while selling just as many books.
In the event of rain, Valley View mall has agreed to open its doors at 7:00 a.m. so people can duck inside.
Palin is expected to address the crowd in front of the store, following her book-signing.
The store will start handing out a limited number of wristbands at 6:00 a.m.
A Barnes of Noble sales receipt for Going Rogue must be presented for you to receive a wristband.
Palin will sign a maximum two copies of the book.
The book signing is scheduled to start at 10:00 a.m. Sunday.
