NABF World Series Coming to Our Area

Lynchburg and surrounding area will host a baseball World Series this coming July. The National Amateur Baseball Federation, for high school athletes 15 through 18, will play its World Series in the Hill City on eight different fields July 23rd through the 27th, the announcement made Monday afternoon at Lynchburg City Stadium.
It's the first time a NABF World Series will be held in the state of Virginia, and will bring some 800 players and their families from across the United States and Canada to Central Virginia. Lynchburg Mayor Joan Foster will throw out the first pitch.
Mayor Joan Foster, Lynchburg - "This is a national event right here in Lynchburg and I know our community will respond. We love baseball anyway here and we have this wonderful facility."
