Blacksburg, VA - The Hokies are heading back to the ACC Football Championship Game. Virginia Tech's win over in-state rival UVA clinched the Hokies second straight trip to the title game. This year, it moves to Tampa and you can still make it to the game relatively cheaply, even though it’s less than a week away.

There was a new reason to show Hokie pride on the Virginia Tech campus. Saturday's win means a third trip to the ACC Championship game in the last four years.

Chad Olenick, VT Sophomore - "We've been making plans since the night that we won."

Matt Cavano, VT Sophomore - "Going down to support the Hokies, is like, I don't know, a given."

With the success of the Hokies football team, fans know a thing or two about traveling.

Bryan Boyle, VT Junior - "Make it a cheap but awesome trip."

But can making a trip to the sunny warm beaches of Tampa be done cheaply? As they say, getting there is half the battle. A quick check of airfares shows making a drive to Richmond can offer big savings on a flight to Tampa. Roundtrip tickets are as low as 249 dollars.

Boyle, VT Junior - "I'm definitely going down as a road tripper, taking one of my friends' mini-vans, so there is going to be six of us crammed in there."

A cheaper option for Bryan Boyle. At $1.80 a gallon, getting an average of 25 miles per gallon, the trip would cost about 100 dollars. Then, you'll have to spend the night. The cheapest options are near Busch Gardens, less than 10 miles from Raymond James Stadium. You could stay for as little as 40 bucks a night.

Cavano - "It's going to be a blast, to be able to go down with some guys and just have a good, warm weekend."

A good weekend, done cheaply, as long as you take a little time to find the deals.

We have seen some low fares flying from Lynchburg to Orlando, but those prices fluctuate. Plenty of tickets to the game are available starting as low as 25 dollars.
