Lynchburg, VA -
Six games into his college career, Liberty freshman Seth Curry is already drawing raves. And with good reason, the kid can play. Curry's late-game heroics Monday night helped the Flames win their fourth straight, second straight in overtime, Liberty out to a 5-and-1 start.
One of the sons of Hokie great Dell Curry, Seth is averaging 22 points and nearly five rebounds a game, he's led the Flames in scoring four of their first six games. He's the kid brother of Davidson sharpshooter Stephen Curry. We had to ask, who's the better shooter?
Seth Curry, Liberty Flames (web) Freshman Guard - "Probably, I think it's me, I gotta say me. We have good shootouts in the backyard."
Dennis - "Oh I bet you do. Do you play a little horse or what do you play when you get together with Stephen?"
Curry - "Mostly just shooting games like horse, like who can make the most out of 10 shots, every once in a while we get a one-on-one game going, get competitive a little bit."
Dennis - "Now who wins the one-on-one games?"
Seth Curry - "It's 50-50."
Ritchie McKay, Liberty Flames Head Coach - "Offensively he's way ahead of the game. I think eventually he'll be the best player in this league and I think he's got the pro ranks ahead of him."
