Lynchburg, VA - An organization that has helped hundreds of families in the Hill City is no longer in financial trouble.
Directors at the Jubilee Center went public with their budget problems in April. Since then, they have brought in $130,000. They were only expecting about $100,000. The money came from everywhere, including community fundraisers, church donations, and a car raffle.
The Jubilee Center offers career help for adults and after-school tutoring and mentoring programs for children.
