Danville, VA - Danville Community College's RCATT program hosted journalists from some top plastics publications Wednesday.
It was all part of a Virginia Economic Development Partnership tour.
The group annually hosts these tours across the state for niche journalists, hoping the articles might reach industry leaders and attract them to the state.
The tour has stops planned in Lynchburg and Bedford too, but this was the only school.
Officials at DCC say it's an honor that their program was chosen.
"It gives them some prestige, the fact that they've got this certificate from DCC which is featured in this case, internationally," said Jerry Franklin, DCC Director of Manufacturing and Technical Services.
Franklin says the tour might also help the Commonwealth recruit business to Danville, because DCC has the capability to prepare a workforce for a plastics industry.
