Airlee Court Baptist Church in RoanokeRoanoke, VA - It has one of the country's largest congregations and now Thomas Road Baptist Church is expanding into Roanoke.
The Lynchburg-based church has entered into a partnership to make Roanoke's Airlee Court Baptist Church a 'satellite' campus of TRBC.
Thomas Road is supplying a pastor and worship team to work with the Roanoke community and help increase Airlee Court's declining membership.
"They would probably tell you that they needed someone to come along side them. I can tell you as pastor of one of the largest churches in America, and guess what I need someone to come along side me," Thomas Road Baptist Church Pastor Jonathan Falwell said.
This isn't the first satellite campus of Thomas Road. Two years ago, it created Dan River Church, which still meets in the Danville Plaza Shopping Center.
