Civil War Reenactment This Weekend in Dublin

Dublin, VA - The 147th anniversary of the Battle of Cloyd's Mountain will take place just outside of Dublin this weekend.

More than 100 participants will be on hand for the reenactment which will take place at historic Rockwood Manor.

Parking will be at New River Community College with shuttle service to the battlefield.

Schedule of Events

Saturday 30th April 2011:

  • 07:00 a.m. Reveille and Breakfast
  • 10:00 a.m. Camp Open to Public Bus service begins at NRCC
  • 10:15 a.m. Infantry Demonstration, at battlefield
  • 11:00 a.m. Artillery Demonstration, at battlefield
  • 1:30 p.m. Battle of Cloyd's Mountain
  • 4:30 p.m. Period Wedding on Rockwood Manor grounds
  • 6:00 p.m. Camp closed to public, Bus service to NRCC ends

Sunday 1st May 2011:

  • 08:00 a.m. Reveille and Breakfast
  • 10:00 a.m. Camp Open to Public, Bus service begins at NRCC
  • 10:15 a.m. Infantry Demonstration, at battlefield
  • 11:00 a.m. Artillery Demonstration, at battlefield
  • 1:00 p.m. Battle of Cloyd's Mountain
  • 3:00 p.m. Camp closed to public, Bus service to NRCC ends

Note: Buses will run on every quarter hour except during the Battle.
