Two very big events in my life took place since I last blogged. Of course, you've all heard about my flight with the Blue Angels. I've had so many people ask me so many questions about it. It was loads of fun. And my pilot, Lieutenant Dave Tickle was amazing. I think he had just as much fun as I did. And that made it all very special. Every bit as exciting was the full week I got to spend with my lovely wife Melissa on our honeymoon cruise to Bermuda last month. We got married in late August, but delayed the honeymoon until our daughter Olivia's Spring Break. We had so much fun!

The Carnival Pride left from the port of Baltimore. We were 3-plus days at sea, and 2-plus days docked in Bermuda. We loved everything about it.

Bermuda is simply beautiful. The waters are pristine, aquamarine. The beaches have gorgeous, pink-colored sand. And rock formations big and small dot the shallow water. There is no language barrier, everyone speaks English. And all the shops take U.S. currency. The only big difference is you have to drive on the left side of the road.

Melissa and I rented a scooter. Trust me. That's the best way to get around Bermuda. It's cheap and the island is small enough that you can pretty much see the whole thing in two or three days. We snorkeled, checked out the Crystal Cave, ate at an incredible restaurant in Hamilton, called Bolero. We beach-hopped, took lots of pictures, frequented the ship's gym, and just relaxed!

It was great to get away and just be in love. Melissa and Olivia are both so good to me. In the past several days, so many people have come up to me and called me lucky. Of course, they were referring to the Blue Angels flight. I agree. I am a very lucky man – but for so much more than the flight.
