It's been a busy month for me. Oh yeah – and we're not even halfway through June yet. Besides taking a little time off to head to the beach, by the time the month is over I will have been back and forth to my hometown of Charlotte three times. My brother is getting married, and we all know there's more to tying the knot than just the wedding day itself. All that being said – I slacked just a tiny bit on my blog. The point is for you to find out more about me. And what better way to do that than in a top 10 list?
So here you have it. The "Top Ten Things You Probably Didn't Know About Shelley."
1 – I get bruises very, very easily.
2 – When in a rush in the morning, I often will iron my clothes while I'm still wearing them.
3 – Sometimes I skip instead of walk and that includes in the newsroom. It saves time and also makes you feel good.
4 – When I was in elementary school, I had a lisp and had to go to speech classes.
5 –I grew up playing in a neighborhood that was all boys. I think that may explain many parts of my personality.
6 – I'm terrible about checking voicemail. If you leave one on my personal phone, I won't listen to it before I call you back.
7 – I also rarely wash my car, and it drives my dad nuts.
8 – I'm obsessed with babies. I'm ‘that person' in the grocery store line who won't stop waving.
9 – I'm a sucker for Nicholas Sparks books. Don't judge.
10 – You may not realize it. But your 13-News Midday anchor also owns the title "Camp Eagle Rock Counselor of the Year 2004."
