There are very few things I dislike more than a freezing cold winter accompanied by those blistering chills that cut through even the warmest jacket.
The sticky sunshine puts a skip in my step and a flutter in my heart. I know the last week may have been a bit much for must, but I have to say I don't mind melting now and then. Somehow, the sensation of a sweet summer night just reminds me how lucky I am. The extra daylight leaves so much extra playtime.
I use it for long runs, walks with friends, slurping up a juicy slice of watermelon, driving with the windows down and all the other glorious things that remind me that even as an adult, there's nothing like the start of summer.
You won't hear me complain about the heat. I'll hold on to that ray of light as long as it's willing to shine down on me. Please don't wish my summer away! Instead, give me some great ideas of how to get outside and enjoy it.
