Mecklenberg Co., VA - A fisherman at Buggs Island Lake this Father's Day weekend got quite a catch.
Nick Anderson of Greenville, North Carolina caught this 143-pound catfish. He was fishing around 8:00 p.m. Saturday when the fish bit the bait. At 57 inches long and 43 inches thick, it's said to be the largest catfish on record, outweighing the previous record holder by 13 pounds.
It took about 45 minutes to reel the fish in. Anderson says he's still in shock and as you can imagine his arms and back are still sore.
