Montgomery Co., VA - A grand jury has handed down indictments against a former Franklin County sheriff's deputy accused of shooting at a state trooper.
The grand jury in Montgomery County indicted Jonathan Agee on five felony counts.
The five felonies are attempted capital murder of a law enforcement officer, aggravated malicious wounding, use of a firearm in the commission of attempted murder, use of a firearm in the commission of aggravated malicious wounding, and felony eluding.
Agee also faces charges in Roanoke for the murder of his ex-wife, Jennifer Agee.
Authorities say Agee shot his ex-wife at a Roanoke Sheetz on Memorial Day, and then shot Sergeant Matt Brannock on Interstate 81.
