Three People In Hospital After Apartment Fire

Danville, VA. - Three people were taken to the hospital Wednesday night after their apartment in Danville caught on fire.

Crews rushed to the complex on Springfield Road about 1 a.m. Thursday.

There was only minor fire damage to the second floor apartment, but the three victims were all transported to the hospital for smoke inhalation.

One of them also had burns to the arm.

Investigators say unattended cooking started the fire, and the damage was contained to the stove.
