"Wings, music and beer." That's what the 2nd annual "Wing Fling" is all about. The Lynchburg Chamber of Commerce is hosting the event at Benjamin's Restaurant on Route 221 on Thursday, Sept. 15. You can bring your lawn chairs, eat a variety of wings and enjoy live music. If you're up for it, there's also a wing eating contest. Tickets bought in advance are $15, and the event goes 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.
If you like cars, the Museum of Transportation in Roanoke has a collection of the "baddest" cars in their Hollywood's Star Cars exhibit. Wednesday, Sept. 14 is the last day the exhibit will be open, and you can go from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tickets to the museum are $8 for adults and $6 for children.
The Fall Bingo Luncheon in Danville is this Friday, Sept. 16 at the Ballou Recreation Center. There will be BBQ for lunch at noon, and rounds of bingo until 3 p.m. Tickets are $9, and you might go home with some prizes.
