Appomattox native Sally Delta is a reporter / photojournalist with ABC-13 News. But she's not new to a newsroom, ABC-13 or Central Virginia. In 2007, Sally's journalism career launched here at WSET as a production assistant before she quickly moved to video editor.
Sally turned her focus toward photography in 2009. In the Shenandoah Valley, Sally was a photojournalist for WHSV-TV in Harrisonburg where she covered the Blue Ridge Parkway murder and the search for Morgan Harrington. Sally shot, wrote and edited stories there for one year.
In June 2010, Sally returned to WSET working on The Night Team newscast as a photographer and fill-in reporter. She covered George Baker's murder, the Altavista plane crash and the earthquake in Mineral.
She also serves as coordinator of internships in the ABC-13 newsroom.
Sally graduated from Appomattox High School and received a Bachelors of Communication degree from Bridgewater College. She also spent a semester abroad in Sydney, Australia. She loves traveling, knows a good movie, and never goes a day without singing.
