Claudia Rupcich - WSET.com - ABC13

Claudia Rupcich is the Web Managing Editor and weekend reporter at WSET. She's also the host of The Weekly Buzz, a segment that previews upcoming events in the area.

Claudia joined the ABC 13 team August 2011. She worked as a director, reporter and anchor for Carolina Week, the Emmy-award winning student newscast at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill. She also worked as a multimedia journalist at Reese Felts Digital News Project, a 24/7 digital newsroom where she produced and published stories across different media platforms.

Claudia has interned with the news department at WTVD, ABC 11 in Durham and WTVJ, NBC 6 in Miami.

Claudia graduated from UNC-CH with degrees in journalism and French. She spent a semester abroad studying French and French cinema in Paris. She's a native Spanish speaker and is fluent in French.

Raised in Ft. Lauderdale, Claudia is very excited about making Lynchburg her new home. She loves to travel, explore new places and meet new people. When she's not reading or watching the news, she's usually cooking or running.
