Lynchburg, VA - Saturday, the adults run the Ten Miler. But Friday, the kids got a chance of their own. And, these little athletes were serious about it.
Many were stretching before the race. It's called the Amazing Mile Children's Run. They've been doing the kiddie version a couple years now. We caught up with one runner prepping for Saturday. And at 89-years-old, he say he's still very young at heart.
"Get a good meal the night before and get a good night's sleep and exercise morning and night," said Robert Huntington, 89-year-old runner.
This is the first time they had a different race for every little runner - a half-mile, quarter mile and big one mile.
Amazement Square sponsored the kids run.
