Oral Roberts sharpshooting guard Kevi Luper has been named to the 2011 USA Basketball Women's Pan American roster, the team announced Tuesday.
The team will begin practicing on October 15th and will begin competition in the five-day tournament six days later in Guadalajara, Mexico.
The Pan American Games are played every four years. The United States is the defending gold medalist, has won gold in seven of the 13 tournaments and has never finished lower than third.
Luper is entering her junior season with the Golden Eagles. She led the nation in scoring last season, averaging 23.7 points per game. She was also the nation's steals leader for the second straight season at 3.7 per contest.
Luper has twice been named Summit League Player of the Year, Defensive Player of the Year and honorable mention All-American. She is just 542 points shy of breaking the school record and Summit League record for career points.
