Lynchburg, VA - An update of sorts to a bizarre Crime Stoppers report.
Remember when that huge "ark" was stolen almost 2 years ago from a pumpkin patch in Lynchburg?
Now, the owners of Smith's Pumpkin Patch brought in a brand new ark just in time for this year's pumpkin sales.
The old one, taken in April 2010, was never recovered.
So someone else donated their time and effort and built a new one for them.
But owners say the kids really love it, and they're glad it's back.
"We didn't have it for years, because we weren't able to recover it so to me it was sort of an empty spot so it's nice just to have it filled up again and see kids playing on it again," Pumpkin Patch Owner Lenaya Smith said.
The new ark is much bigger than the old one with enough room for the parents if you want to check it out.
Smith's Pumpkin Patch is located off of Fort Ave. near the Post Office.
It's open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., Saturday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday from noon until 9 p.m.
