South Boston, VA – The family of Hattie Brown, who has been missing for two years, decided to put up a billboard of Hattie in hopes of finding her.

For two years the family has had no developments in the case, but they say this billboard might be the way to find justice for Hattie. September 21 was Hattie's 51st birthday, and her sister says the billboard is her birthday present.

"This is just to let her know from her siblings, happy birthday to her, she's missing, but never forgotten," said Brown. "Hopefully somebody will pass by and just if they have anything, if they have any information at all, just contact the authorities."

Hattie Brown was last seen in May 16, 2009 at a Sheetz in South Boston with her nephew. Weeks later, her car was found burned and abandoned at a farm in Virgilina. The investigation still continues, but officials have no signs, no leads and no answers.

For Hattie's family, the hardest part is not knowing.

"We just try to support each other, be there for each other. If we feel like talking, we'll talk. The last past year, nothing that would connect us to her location, nothing," said Brown.

A billboard, standing nearly 15 feet tall might give them that hope they've been searching for.

"It may spark that one little small thing doesn't matter how small, please alert the authorities," said Brown.

You're bound to see the giant billboard on the side of Rt. 58 East in South Boston. It has the State Police tip line number on it for you to call if you know anything.

If you have any information you're asked to call the Virginia State Police at 1-800-552-0962, or the Crime Line at (434) 476-8445.
