If you like spooky things, Liberty University in Lynchburg is holding its annual Scaremare this week. The haunted grounds open Thursday, Oct. 13 and will be open dusk till 11 p.m. through Saturday, Oct. 15. Cost is $8 and Thursday is college night so students only pay $3. Scaremare will be open Thursday-Saturday every weekend until Halloween: Oct. 13-15, Oct. 20-22 and Oct. 27-29.

E.C. Glass Theater presents A Midsummer Night's Dream playing Oct. 10-14. Shakespeare's comedy hits the stage at the studio theater 7:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. every night. It's $10 dollars for adults and $8 for students.

Relax to great live music at The Ellington in Lynchburg on Friday, Oct. 14. The Pinch Hitters will play some blues music from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., and tickets are $10. Remember Ellington Fridays are the second and fourth Friday of each month. November and December it will be only the second Friday.

The Danville Concert Association is putting on the Spectrum Brass Quintet concert on Friday, Oct. 14. The performance starts at 7:30 in Averett University's Pritchet Auditorium and is $20 for adults and $10 for students. You can buy tickets online.
