Lynchburg, VA - Friends of the Lynchburg Dog Park have raised more than 23,000 in just two months.
That puts the group 80% of the way to its goal of opening an off-leash dog park.
But members still need your help to cross the finish line, so they are asking you to come out this Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Camp Kum-Ba-Yah for Doggie Day at Camp.
You can bring your pets and your kids for a wide-range of activities including swimming, pottery-making, and baking homemade dog treats. There will also be a silent auction with dozens of items.
Tickets are $20 a dog and $10 for each additional dog.
Rain date will be Saturday, Oct. 22 from noon to 5 p.m. at Camp Kum-Ba-Yah.
