If ghosts are your thing, the 22nd Annual Ghosts of Historic Lynchburg walk. There will be tours running every 15-20 minutes starting at 6:30 p.m. until 9:30 p.m. Thursday through Saturday, Oct. 20-22. The guided walk will take you though the Diamond Hill Historic District with stories of the haunts of days done by. you can learn about the people who used to live around Lynchburg. Tickets go on sale at 6 p.m. and are $10 for adults and $5 for children 11 and younger. It's first come, first serve.
DeVault Family Vineyards is hosting its 2nd Annual Fall Family Fun Festival Oct. 21-22. On Friday, there will be an Adult Halloween Costume Party 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. There will also be Karaoke, games and prizes for costume contest winners. You can also get a discount on the wine tasting if you wear a costume. On Saturday from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m., you can bring the whole family for a day of music, hayrides, a pumpkin pie baking contest, a haunted trail, food vendors, and pumpkin painting.
Face your fears at Roanoke's Fear Factory haunted house from Thursday to Saturday, Oct. 20-22 and Oct. 27-29. The haunted house on Orange Avenue is open 7:30 p.m. to 11 p.m. and admission is $12 or $11 if you bring a canned non-perishable food item. This scary event is recommended for ages 10 and up.
