Danville, VA - Danville has become home to a new electric car from South Korea.
The vehicle is made by AD Motors that has partnered with the Advanced Vehicle Research Center in Danville for distribution.
Makers say the car named "Change" goes only up to 45 mph but is perfect for universities, parking maids, neighborhood drivers, or airports.
"It has a steel frame under it, it has an all steel passenger compartment, it has AM/FM radio, air conditioning, heated seats, and power windows. Basically it is a car that is a neighborhood electric vehicle, designed for that purpose," said Dick Dell, president and CEO of AVRC.
You can get your hand on one of these cars. The Advanced Vehicle Research Center will be selling them.
If they can sell more than 1,000 cars a year, they hope to start manufacturing the car on the Southside.
