A lottery will be held early next month for the upcoming WNBA Draft and the Tulsa Shock will have the best chance to nab the top spot.
The Shock posted a 3-and-31 record in 2011, the lowest winning percentage of any team in WNBA history. When the draft lottery is held November tenth in New York, Tulsa will have a 44-percent chance of getting the number one overall pick.
Last year, the Minnesota Lynx got the number one pick and chose Maya Moore. It paid off. Moore helped lead the Lynx to the WNBA championship this season.
Despite winning the title, the Lynx have the second best odds of getting the number one pick -- 27-point-6 percent -- thanks to a trade that sent Nicky Anosike to the Washington Mystics for Washington's first round pick.
Chicago (17.8%) and Los Angeles (10.4%) round out the other lottery-eligible teams.
The 2012 WNBA Draft will be held in April.
