The Martinsville-Henry County SPCA is hosting its fourth annual Halloween Extravaganza on Saturday, Oct. 29. The celebration will feature a Pawfest Carnival from 1 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. and the Circus Asylum (a haunted experience) at 7 p.m. The carnival is free and tickets to the circus asylum are $8 for children and $10 for adults.
In Roanoke, your kids can go trick or treating downtown on Saturday, Oct. 29 from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. There will be businesses giving out candy along Market Street. The fun starts at noon with a costume contest and a costume parade.
Bedford is "BOO-FORD" for Halloween weekend and will have its Halloween celebration Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. There city will have trick or treating, games, live music, contests and so much more.
If you want to do something completely unrelated to Halloween, check out the Sedalia Chili Cook-Off on Saturday, Oct. 29 at the Sedalia Center. Teams around the area will have their best recipes and you'll have a chance to taste and vote for the best chili. That's from noon to 5 p.m. and tickets are $10 in advance or $15 at the gate.
