See Thomas Jefferson's retreat home in a whole new light this Thursday, November 3 on a candlelight tour. Poplar Forest will have the new tours on November 3rd, 10th and 17th. Tours begin at 5:30 p.m. and tickets are $18 dollars. Reservations are required.
The Exchange Club of Lynchburg will put on the annual pancake jamboree this Friday, November 4. Come to the Lynchburg City Armory to support local charities and have tasty all-you-can-eat pancakes. It'll be from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. and tickets are $7 in advance or $8 door.
Also on Nov. 4, Renaissance Theater will have its first performance of "A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum." The Broadway play is described as light, witty and one of the funniest musicals ever written. It starts at 8 p.m. and tickets are $17 for adults and $13 for students.
Virginia's Veterans Day Parade is on Saturday, Nov. 5 in downtown Roanoke. The parade starts at 11 a.m. on Market Street and will have several bands and activities- all to honor our veterans.
