Smith Mountain Lake is hosting its 9th Annual Fall Chili and Craft Festival on Saturday, November 5. The all-day festival will have music, crafts and a competitive chili cook-off. Doors open 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and tickets are $5. The festival will be at Bridgewater Plaza on Route 122 in Moneta.
The Bluegrass, BBQ and Beer Festival is Saturday, Nov. 5 at the Red Hill Patrick Henry National Memorial. The festival will have three bluegrass bands, local barbecue and craft beer from Legend and Starr breweries. If you buy tickets by Nov.4, tickets are $15 or it's $20 at the door.
In Danville, the YMCA will host the 25th Annual Louie Fields 5K Run/Walk and Kids Fun Run on Saturday, Nov. 5. The race starts at 8 a.m., and runners will get all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast. You can still get breakfast for $5 even if you don't run.
Ballou Recreation Center is hosting a classical evening with some fine dining and a concert on Saturday, Nov. 5. Dinner will be served at 5 p.m. followed by a performance at 6 p.m. by the Danville Junior String Quartet. Tickets are $15.
