Chamber Celebrates With a Cake

Lynchburg, VA - The Lynchburg Regional Chamber of Commerce announced it has achieved the nation's highest rating Monday: the 5-star accreditation.
It ranges from one to five stars and is only given to a small portion of the nation's 7,000 chambers. But Lynchburg's chamber is the first one in the state to get a 5-star accreditation.
The real reason they're celebrating is that it's the second time the chamber's received this honor. President and CEO Rex Hammond says only a handful of chambers can claim that title.
"You do it once, it's a good thing, to do it twice, I think is a statement of consistency. Hopefully our members receive it as such," Hammond said.
The Lynchburg Regional Chamber of Commerce will maintain that accreditation for 5 years.
