You and your kids can meet Santa on Saturday, Dec. 3 at Riverside Park in Lynchburg. Story Time with Santa will be 1 p.m. – 4 p.m. at the Historic Miller Claytor House on Rivermont Avenue. The house will be decorated and filled with Christmas treats. There will be 3 readings, and it's $5 per child.
In Danville, the Farmer's Market will have a special Holiday Market on Saturday, Dec. 3 so you can get everything you need for the holidays. There will be handmade crafts, baked goods, wreathes, Christmas trees and so much more. You can also eat a pancake breakfast with Santa from 9 a.m.- 11 a.m., sponsored by the Danville Girl Scouts.
New Century Church in Roanoke presents the Christmas classic, "Scrooge" Dec. 1-3. Thursday and Friday the performance is at 7:30 p.m. and Saturday it's at 1 p.m. and 6 p.m. The performance will be at Roanoke Civic Center and it's free.
There will also be a bunch of Christmas parades this weekend:
Dec. 2 - Amherst at 6"30 p.m.
Dec. 3 – Bedford at noon
Dec. 4 – Appomattox at 4 p.m.
Dec. 4 – Lynchburg at 5 p.m.
