The parent company of Food Lion announced it is closing more than a hundred stores, including four in our area.
Delhaize America says the closures are part of strategic decisions focused on "strengthening the Food Lion banner."
Food Lions slated to close include the ones on Bedford Avenue in Lynchburg, Franklin Road in Roanoke, Peppers Ferry Road in Roanoke and Route 4 in Appomattox.
