E.C. Glass High School's theater is putting on "Children of a Lesser God" January 12-21. The tony-award winning drama tells the romance of a deaf girl and her teacher. It hits the stage every night at 7:30 p.m., and tickets are $10 for adults and $8 for children.
This Friday, Jan. 20 is Kids' Night at the Lynchburg Museum. From 6 p.m. – 11 p.m., children ages 7 to 12 can take part in scavenger hunts, interact with nocturnal animals, create art and enjoy eat some pizza and a movie. Cost is $20 per child, and reservations are recommended.
Also in Lynchburg, The American Shakespeare center presents "A Midsummer Night's Dream" on Saturday. You can catch the play about four young lovers at the Academy of Fine Arts at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $25 for adults and $13 for students.
The Craig Woolard Band will perform at the Roanoke Civic Center Jan. 20 as part of the Cabin Fever Series. The band known for its beach music plays a mix of R & B, Motown and rock and roll. The group will be on from 6 p.m. – 10 p.m. Tickets are $17 in advance or $20 at the door.
