If you want stay indoors during these cold days, you can check out "Underworld Awakening in 3D" coming out Friday, Jan.20. The horror/action movie is about war between humans and two discovered species. The science fiction stars Kate Beckinsale and is rated R.
In Lynchburg, your kids can learn if germs really are icky at Amazement Square. Saturday from 1 p.m. – 2 p.m., children will learn about good and bad germs and the importance of washing their hands at the "Are Germs Really Icky?" event. A nurse from CENTRA will lead the event, and there will be games.
The Ellington in Lynchburg is featuring the traditional blues band "Mississippi Heat" Jan. 21. The band will perform two -75 minute sets starting at 8:30 p.m. Doors open at 7:30 p.m., and tickets are $20 in advance or $25 at the door.
In Roanoke, this Sunday, Jan. 22 is the annual Greater Virginia Bridal Show at The Roanoke Civic Center.
It's from 1 p.m. – 5 p.m., and tickets are $10.
There will be three runway shows, several fine wedding vendors and a $35,000 wedding giveaway.
