Ellington Fridays in Lynchburg welcomes the band Creeksyde to their first Ellington performance on January 27. The band plays southern rock music, and its play list includes songs from Marshall Tucker, Pink Floyd and Kenny Chesney. The group will be playing 6 p.m.to 9 p.m., and tickets are $10.

This Saturday, Jan. 28 is Diva Night at DeVault Vineyards. You can go check out the vendors including Lia Sophia Jewelry, BeautiControl, Pampered Chef and Pure Romance. Admission is free, so you only pay for whatever service you chose. There will also be wine tasting, and that's 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.

The Academy of Fine Arts in presents a concert of opera, Broadway and popular tunes this Jan. 28 & Jan. 29. The show "Love Makes the World Go Round" will be on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday at 3 p.m. Tickets are $30.

A brand new sports show is coming to Roanoke Jan. 27-29. The Virginia Hunt Fest will take place at the Roanoke Civic Center, and organizers say their mission is "to educate, inspire and invoke hunters and non-hunters about the outdoor world. " There will be lots of food, presentations and conservation groups. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children younger than 12.
