NASCAR Preview: Kurt Busch and Greg Biffle

One of NASCAR's big names who'll be driving for a different team this year is Kurt Busch.

After a highly-publicized blowup with a pit reporter and eventual split with Penske Racing, Busch said he just wanted racing to be fun again.  The 2004 Cup champion pulled a big surprise, signing with owner James Finch and small Phoenix Racing.  "It has all the potential, I mean with Hendrick power, chassis and the bodies that are on these cars and yet we've just got to put it in place, Busch said.

Busch added he has no beef with Roger Penske following their split after six seasons. "I e-mailed Roger the other day on when we're going to get together for dinner down at SpeedWeeks. I really have no regrets and I can't thank them enough for the time we spent together."

Greg Biffle is a former teammate of Busch's at Roush Racing.  Biffle feels his team is so close, considering he was battling champion Tony Stewart for a Chase spot late in the season. "Look at what Tony's team did.  You know I put ourselves in that same position and we were in that same position.  And we weren't able to capitalize like Tony was," Biffle said.

Roush-Fenway Racing enters the year with 299 career wins.  Biffle would love to give owner Jack Roush number 300 in the season opener. Biffle said,"Daytona 500 would be a great place to start.  You know the Daytona 500 everybody looks forward to that race.  Everybody looks forward to winning that race."

Roush-Fenway trimmed down to three teams with David Ragan moving on to Front Row Motorsports.
