Rockbridge Co., VA - A series of petty crimes is causing a lot of frustration in Rockbridge County.
The sheriff's office says about 34 mailboxes and three vehicles, including a county school bus, have been vandalized in the last two weeks.
It's happening in all parts of the county including Old Farm Road, Big Hill Road, Big Spring Road, Spring Branch Road and areas in Collierstown and Kerrs Creek.
Investigators say the vandals are striking between 9 p.m. and the early morning hours. Investigator Miles Kelly is asking the public to help catch whoever's responsible.
"If they hear any banging or glass breaking at their residence, please call the sheriff's office immediately. And if they can get the description of the vehicle safely, get that and get a direction of travel," Kelly said.
A small reward may be offered for information that leads to a conviction. You can call the Rockbridge County Sheriff's office at 540-463-2878.
