Sweet Briar College in Amherst County is having its "Fringe Festival" February 2- 5. The event will feature back-to-back visual and performing arts events in several venues on campus. That includes concerts, poetry readings, piano recitals and comedy performances. All events are free except the concert musical "Baby" that goes on at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 5. "Baby" will be $10 for adults, $7 for seniors and $5 for students.
In Roanoke, the 13th annual "Tons of Fun" event is going on at Tanglewood Mall. Your whole family can enjoy puppet shows, magicians, games, carnival rides and much more. That's 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and the great news-it's free!
The Danville Museum of Fine Arts and History is putting on its 11th Annual Storytelling Festival on Saturday, Feb. 4 The event's goal is to keep oral history alive, and now your family can take part in the celebration. The festival will have African dancers, yarn spinning and several storytellers. The event is free, and it's 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
